Andréas Win
Andréas Win is the founder of Win and has been active in the jewelry industry since 1988.
Andréas passion for gems and jewels began at a very early age. The interest continued with silver and goldsmithing to more advanced courses in art of lapidary, faceting, sculpture, design, geology, mineralogy, gemmology F.G.A., diamond grading and jewelry design GIA.
The strong passion in gemstones and jewels has continued with many years of practical work in the art craft of lapidary and design.
Our Store in Malmö, Sweden
Win’s main specialty is gemstones, art of lapidary and jewelry design. The precious stones and jewels that are processed, cut and manufactured are made in only single pieces and in small production.
The smaller production is due to the difficult access of finer and rare gemstones, as well as the enormously time-consuming work in the art of making jewels to a high level of details and artistic precision.
Gemstones & Gold
Andréas Win does not use gemstones from dubious or unknown sources.
Win bases its production on the principles prescribed by the Responsible Jewelery Council (RJC) and pays attention to their certification when selecting all suppliers. This goes beyond the rules of the Kimberly Process ratified in the EU.
Suppliers who are RJC-certified must follow clear rules within different parts of the company, which are controlled by an accredited test institute. In addition to strict compliance with supervisory and statutory provisions, this includes respect for human and employee rights.
These procedures prohibit blood diamonds from buying or selling diamonds from dubious or unknown sources, as well as diamonds from certain countries and regions.
Our gold comes from suppliers who have bought recycled gold for our production. With that, we rely entirely on our gold suppliers and the gold circulation for many generations and therefore no longer create any new incentives for conventional, environmentally harmful mining. A further step has been taken in recent years with Fairtrade Gold certification in 2016. Since then, we have offered our customers the opportunity to buy our products with Fairtrade gold alloys, promoting only small-scale gold mining and fair working conditions.
